Have You Ever Wondered?
I know I have… A thousand questions race through my head every day. I am an information junkie. I just can’t get enough details. The world today is driven by consuming data, isn’t it? For the things that fascinate me, I want details… I want answers. Just think of all the things you pay for that you don’t actually see or touch. If you are an entrepreneur such as myself, this happens more to you than most people. I am often trading in my hard earned cash for things I cannot feel or touch.
The world is a different place than it was 10 years ago. Back then I was fascinated with how much money this or that business was earning, were they making it? Were they getting rich? Did they have a job on the side? How hard did they REALLY work? These businesses were typically in the physical realm. It did not take me long to realize (in 2000) that people were also running small businesses online. They were quietly working from home making money while everyone else was slaving away at their job. Do you know when you type any given keyword into google and a page is displayed that chances are excellent that the webpage you visited was solely created to earn revenue? Even if it is just a hobby, the odds are decent that their is some kind of ads on the page. You can create an online publishing empire by creating websites…… everything from small niche blogs to database driven online stores. You can do so without having inventory, delivery trucks or other huge overhead experienced by those who have physical businesses. It is possible to create an affiliate store that is yours for all intents and purposes, it will look and feel like a real store. Without getting overly verbose, the site will be selling other company’s products. You simply design the “store” to sell these products. Do you think Walmart creates all of the things they sell? Look up affiliate marketing on google…. I intend on creating a primer on affiliate marketing… so many people do not understand it, yet it has been part of our economy for quite awhile now.
It wasn’t until a few years ago that I discovered tools that will allow me to analyze these virtual businesses on the web. I have become a sort of web sleuth investigating websites, analyzing backlinks, finding patterns of ownership, etc. This is all in an effort to see if I can duplicate it and do it better and add my own touch and skills to it…. After all, there are a zillion places that sell hamburgers, right? You primarily hear about Mcdonalds, but other restaurants successfully sell them as well. In the virtual world it becomes possible to dominate an entire niche market if you put your mind to it… there are countless numbers of these markets. Using tools, I can investigate these markets to see if it warrants my attention then go after them with a vengeance if the money is there.
This is precisely what I am doing with this website. I am finding niches and marketing to that niche using various promotion methods. We create many types of sites, everything from database driven megasites to niche blogs. There are countless markets that we will go into upon researching them. There is no way possible without having a full time dedicated person to this project that we could even cover a small percentage of them. I am to experiment in 2 or 3 markets a month and let my members follow along with the successes and failures. Yes there certainly are failures… but the overhead is at a point that you can move on to the next market without losing a tremendous amount of money. Even still, some sites that are deemed to be unsuccessful in the beginning (not paying their virtual rent, so to speak) end up doing well months or years later. I have sites that I created many eons ago that still earn me an income to this day. Are you still getting paid for what you did 8 years ago without having to worry about the ups and downs of the stock market?
Their are publishing empires being built online as we speak. Companies are acquiring virtual properties, expanding into new markets and doing things unthinkable a generation ago. You have an opportunity to watch over my back (something I always fascinated of doing) while I build successful and unsuccessful websites and businesses. There is so much information it is very easy to get overwhelmed…. are you up for the challenge? Maybe you aren’t cut out to be out on your own… perhaps you are destined to work the rest of your life for a company or employer that may or may not be there for you. Does the concept of passive income appeal to you? Never before has it been easier to start a business from home and become independently wealthy than it is today. We live in exciting times, especially for a budding entrepreneur. Many times, folks focus on all the bad news and fail to realize all the success that is happening around them. Are you focusing on the negative? Focusing on the positive and moving your life in the direction you want it to be in will do nothing but good. Follow me as I go into new markets online and offline. Sometimes I feel like a sort of virtual Warren Buffet (without the moolah) …. My aim is to acquire and dominate as many markets as possible….. think it can be done? Watch and see?
