$200 a Day with Database Sites – Get Money to Make the Phone Ring – Update

Before I get into my update regarding database sites,  I want to just say that we are living in some awesome times.  Never before could a person make a good (if not substantial) living from the comforts of their home and build a business as big as they could ever imagine,  or even keep it small for simplicity’s sake.   When you think of all the different markets you can go into using the power of the internet with a tremendously small amount of overhead,  the possibilities become endless.  My mind runs at full throttle keeping me from sleeping, thinking of all the ways to monetize different niches.    In the past,  I was interested in opening different “physical realm” businesses such as bars/taverns,  IT help desks,  restaurants, temp services, niche clothing stores, but soon lost interest after realizing I could make just as much money (if not more) doing it online.   I have always been intrigued by offline business,  don’t get me wrong,  sometimes I find myself still considering them,  but I’m quickly brought down to earth after realizing all the aggravation it would entail, not to mention the tremendous overhead.  I only involve myself in one “physical realm” business… it has served me well for many years.

Within a couple of days,  I could open up an online store and begin receiving traffic from all over the world…. with little overhead.    Luckily I can build everything myself and promote it… but the entire process could easily be outsourced.   Since the overhead is low,  opening up hundreds of stores would not be an unrealistic endeavor.   Each store will only bring in a small amount of money,  the power is in the number of stores you have.    The power is also in the niche you choose.  It is basically a numbers game…  Choose 100 niches,  create a 100 stores and promote.  Some will do better than others.    I mention stores because stores are basically database sites.  You create your store by using a merchant’s datafeed, which is a database of their inventory.   As many are aware,  I have been running database sites for years, but only have gotten into creating online stores recently.  Many of you remember my “stores online” rant.   We are truly living in awesome times.  I wake up daily with new ideas to implement.  The problem has always been,  I have more ideas than available time.

So back to my latest database project – my first  online store.  It has actually started to receive some google love though it has not made any sales yet,  that will come in time.    I also added  some syndicated content related to the niche that is also getting some traffic.  It is drip fed to the store on a daily basis.    In the future,  I plan on collecting email addresses.  Collecting email addresses is an excellent way to get extra traffic to your web properties.  Plus,  it is all automated.   Set up your autoresponder to sell for you.  The work you put into the autoresponder will pay dividends well into the future.  I have some sites where most of the sales come from the autoresponder,  the offer is often not even promoted on the main webpage.

I also wanted to mention something I also just recently became involved in…. Pay Per Call.   I have started creating sites that use an 800 number for tracking.  I get paid up to $40 per call on different campaigns,  whether they make a purchase or not.  So as long as I can get the phone to ring,  I make money.   The only caveat is:  they have to be on the phone a certain amount of time.  So thinking you can get people to just call so you can make a quick buck is not only fraud but would be difficult to implement.  I have been implementing my database sites and directories with the CJ per per call system..  It is just now starting to bear fruit.    CJ  has  many offers that pay per call, everything from directv to attorneys looking for leads.    A lot of work still needs to be done,  but I never feel limited by ideas to turn a buck….   we are truly living in fascinating times and it is only getting better!    Look below at the screenshot I just took from calls so far…..   not a tremendous amount of money,  but I’m not having to trade in my time to make this money appear,  are you?  Are you trading in your time for money?   Are you making someone else rich?  Better you than me…..   Until next time!
