You’ll have to forgive me in advance if  I seem to switch from subject to subject with no clear direction,  but my mind has been racing 250 miles a second with new ideas and observations….  That is one of the good things about being alive, watching and analyzing other people.   People are amazing,  you can learn so much from observing their behavior,   watching how they interact with others, analyzing the decisions they make.  The only problem for me is ruling out those that are a waste of my time and focusing on those that help me personally and on a financial level.  By financial,  I mean my companies and any means by which I support myself.   Observing people is a skill that really comes in handy.  You can learn a lot just from 0ne’s mannerisms.  That is why anytime I have a problem or beef with someone I insist on doing it in person….  if the situation is salvageable that is… if not,  then I am totally apathetic to any further interactions with them..  Some people and situations just aren’t worth it.  Did you know you can quickly tell if you are being lied to just by observing someone?   Unless they actually believe what they are saying most will give physical clues of their deceit,  you can only pick up on it if you are in their physical presence.   So if you want or need the truth from someone you think may be deceiving you,  interrogate them in person.

 

Do you know people that suck the life out of you?   They don’t want to hear of your problems but can only discuss themselves?     Everyone wants to talk about their own problems,  we are all sort of  narcissistic,  that is not uncommon.  But there are those (I’m sure you have them in your life) that seem to dominate every conversation with what is going on in their life….   anyway,  enough of that.   I want to share the video below.. it is several different “poems” for the lack of a better word that will help you in your life’s journey…  It’s titled “Getting Rid of Crazy People”..   I promise,  you will see how it ties in with the title of my post…     I am tempted to list some of my favorites and discuss but in order to avoid going off on a psychoanalysis  tangent I will proceed to tie it in after the video… whewww that was tough…  I think faster than I can type sometimes… then I become concerned with how articulate I come off as being…  spending too much time editing.. anyway…..   Watch the video..  if you have “crazy people” or those that suck all of your energy,  you will appreciate this video, then I promise I will tie it in with the title of the blog post.

 

 

What did you think?    As most of you that read this blog know,  I am a big fan of “The Secret”.  This video goes along quite nicely with it.   If you have a positive mentality and see things in a positive light…  you will attract that same positive energy to yourself..  I am not going to preach on the power of positive thinking or my thoughts on the secret,  you can read it elsewhere on my blog;  however,   I am going to take a couple of the passages from the video and expound on how I am using it in the business world to further propagate my wealth and freedom endeavors and those of my partners.   Here are some passages from the video (see video for credit)

“Consider this:  Never receive counsel from unproductive people, never discuss your problems with those incapable of contributing to the solution, because those that never succeed themselves, are the first ones to tell you how”

I’m sure many of you can relate to the following:  Chances are real good that if you are reading this passage you are at least somewhat like myself.   You are looking for “the secret”.  The secret to happiness,  the secret to help solve all of your heart ache,  the secret to being free and not depend on your J.O.B.  The secret to leave your family financially healthy in the event of your demise.   These passages above and “the secret” applies to your personal life most definitely…   but it also applies to your business life as well.

In business it is wise to emulate from those who are successful.  Imitation is the utmost in flattery.  Heck,  I would love for someone to emulate or copy me,  it means I am doing something right,  something to effect someone’s life for the good.   Modern times have really enabled us to spy, for the lack of a better word, on people that ARE successful.  We can extrapolate from the clues they leave online the level of success they experience.   There are many tools that I personally use to “spy” on other people I find interesting.  I focus on those people that can help me financially….  and also those that could potentially be a threat.  Business is very much like a chess game, I always was a pretty decent chess player.  People are generally “nosey”.. they are intrigued by others..  whether they have a physical attraction or just fascinated with their mind..  I have capitalized (and still do) on this by creating systems and websites that cater to their fascination with wanting to discover information on whomever they have an interest.. whether it be a girlfriend, boyfriend, potential mate, business partner or whomever,  they can easily find out just about anything if they are willing to open their wallet….

 

I uses similar tools to spy on my online competitors.  I use tools such as reverse IP, reverse WHOIS and trolling bulletin boards to garner as much information as I can on a competitor.. especially one I deem to know what they are talking about.    I currently have my own infrastructure that I benefit from so my costs are at a minimal when I research…  I basically eat out of my own restaurant so to speak.   But there are times when I am so intrigued by a person that it will cost me much more money to acquire the information I crave.   I did a REVERSE WHoIS on a person after discovering an email they used on a successful product I had intended to purchase for resale a few years back… I want to get a listing of ALL the websites they currently own so I can study them in detail… but it would be a whopping $756 dollars just for the current listing of his virtual properties….  IMPORTANT TIP:  DO NOT use the same email for all your web properties… or even the same name..  put them in different LLC’s the same as you would your physical property. I’m not condoning an alias… use your real name.. but make it as difficult as possible for someone to extract information on you.    Fortunately,   it is not this expensive to do a search for properties in the physical realm.. since it is considered public information.. Requiring payment  is good for me actually.   It creates a barrier to entry that knocks many people out of possibly learning a great deal from someone…. discovering how they are finding success and emulating it.. or using your unique knowledge to make it better.    It would be an education indeed to pay for a listing of his websites… I could study them in great detail…  keeping a database of coveted information that could change someone’s financial situation rather quickly if acquired.  I have been presented with circumstances before where I spent a chunk of money for information or products that changed my future for the good…   You have to live and learn….   it is those people that are driven to get something done (whether good or bad) and talk about it incessantly you need to be concerned about… because without a doubt they will accomplish their goals in due time.   I am just at the fence on spending this much money…. I know I will eventually,  but it is a difficult  pill to swallow, even though I realize it is good for me…

Let’s be blunt,  everyone wants to be Rich and Happy.  I don’t think anyone if asked (unless they were a weirdo) would say they didn’t want either one.  However,  you can have one without the other… I am not saying you need to be financially well off to be happy.  There are many people (I am thinking of them right now)  that society would classify as “rich” or “well off”  but  when you start crunching numbers,  the sad truth starts to show its head.   There are people on this grand Earth of ours (yes we do share the planet with other people) that are perfectly content with their lives.   Many people live here  who are undoubtedly self actualized but have no real wealth to speak of.  You don’t need to be rich to be self actualized.  You don’t need to be wealthy to be happy.   However, there typically are distinct differences between the poor, middle class and rich.    It is not my intention to brainwash or talk anyone into anything,  but only make them aware of their surroundings and the powers that shape our lives.     Watch the video below to get an idea of where I’m coming from. Think about the people you think are “rich” or “well off”.  After watching this video,  do you still feel the same way?  Are you still impressed with that person?  Still think they have money?

Did you watch the video?   Interesting isn’t it?  Who are the “rich” people in your life now?   The point of this exercise is this:   Think critically,  life is not always what it seems.  People are not always what they seem. Situations are not always what they seem… you get the picture.    I will  define what I believe to be critical thinking later.    If you haven’t watched the video above,  I advise you to do so before you continue reading.

Before I continue, here is another person that I’m fascinated with and enjoy, it is Barbara Corcoran, of Shark Tank fame. I immensely enjoy listening to everything she has to say…. She is so much more than what she is perceived as on Shark Tank…. watch the video and study Barbara closely. Go ahead, listen to it over and over, no one will know. I love listening to successful people who go after what they want and think outside of the box. Anyone can go to school and become a nurse, doctor, lawyer, accountant, etc. ( i love these people, don’t get me wrong) but these people are the Poor Dads (there are ALWAYS exceptions) , yet they (the poor dads) are typically much less successful and interesting (my humble opinion) than many small business owners. I retract somewhat, I find accountants and lawyers interesting….

People like the shark tankers are the ones that fascinate me the most and drive me to excel in business and life. I am driven to create a legacy for my family and partners. I want to live and YES maintain control even after I am long gone from this earth. With business you can do just that. I have been working on my empire for many years now…. have made many mistakes and I’m certain will continue to do so… but it is my passion to control my own destiny and leave a legacy for my partners and family that motivates me to pick up and keep moving forward. But anyway, watch this video, she is quite fascinating.

She’s pretty cools isn’t she? So how do you get Rich like Barbara?  I’m still trying to figure that out… I’m evolving.   But I do know this:  having a positive attitude will get you much closer than letting negativity flow into your life.  Sounds cliche, doesn’t it?  One thing that I do have, that many do not, is Freedom.  Freedom to make money wherever I may be.   Freedom to earn it whether it be at sea, on an island  or thousands of miles away from home.  Freedom to be with my aging grandfather when he needs me.  Freedom to do what I want, when I want.  I have the power to put everything on hold if I so desire.  I truly control my destiny.  Do you?   I’ m certain that I’m not alone.  Frankly, everyone dreams of a day when they can do what they want when they want, without the worry of house and car payments.. getting up for work, tolerating unpleasant bosses and co-workers.. having to get permission before going on vacation,  not taking off when they wish… all the while earning an income that rivals highly paid professionals.   Few people would disagree that “being your own boss” or working from home is the ideal situation.  In today’s environment,  it is easier than ever before.   But one needs to be careful,  there are many dishonest people and an equally number of  tricky situations at every corner.

Perhaps you will need to graduate from the school of hard knocks before you can actually fulfill your dreams… There are several tools at your disposal if you are interested in being your own  boss.  Even if you are currently satisfied with the status quo of your life,   you too could learn a thing or two from what I have to say.   It was Walter Elliot (I don’t agree with his politics) who said “Perseverance is not a long race; it is many short races one after another” So many people quit and give up way before they have found their way in the world.  They let negative attitudes and negative people rule their life.  Do you let negative people rule you?  Do you let certain people determine whether you have a good or bad day?  If so then stop it!  Many people, with few exceptions,  end up being the “Poor Dad”  of Robert Kiyosaki’s book “Rich Dad Poor Dad”.   They are afraid of change, afraid to take chances.  They find comfort in the mundane, they find comfort in knowing what lies ahead. They are secure in being told what to do and how to do it. Who doesn’t right? Well….. not me. I consider myself to be a free spirit. I would walk the ends of the earth with my partner and pick up spare change if everything else failed. As long as I live my personal life and business life with honesty and integrity, I am happy. Freedom is my desire, money is the byproduct. I desire freedom above all else.  If you haven’t  read Rich Dad Poor Dad,  I strongly urge you to do so.. you can get it on audio and listen to it on the way to your J.O.B.     You will enlightened beyond measure,  I know I was when it first came out.

So why be a critical thinker?  First of all,  what do I mean….?    The definition of critical thinking according to wikipedia: “ in general, refers to higher-order thinking that questions assumptions. It is a way of deciding whether a claim is true, alse, or sometimes true and sometimes false, or partly true and partly false.” I must mention, equally  important on your journey to being an entrepreneur (or being self actualized for that matter)  is to  avoid suffering from analysis paralysis.  According to wikipedia analysis paralysis is:  ” over-analyzing (or over-thinking) a situation, so that a decision or action is never taken, in effect paralyzing the outcome. A decision can be treated as over-complicated, with too many detailed options, so that a choice is never made, rather than try something and change if a major problem arises. A person might be seeking the optimal or “perfect” solution upfront, and fear making any decision which could lead to erroneous results, when on the way to a better solution.”   It can cripple an entrepreneurial mind.  It can cripple you even on a personal level.  Don’t ignore problems, face them head on.   Learn from your mistakes and pass it on as valuable knowledge to someone else.

The concepts of critical thinking and positive attitude need  to exist in perfect harmony…  You need to be critical of an opportunity or situation but at the same time don’t analyze it to the point of not taking action at all.  Personally,  I would much rather make a mistake (disclaimer needed)  and move on than to never know what could lie ahead..   Or in the case of a problem or issue, ignore it only to let it fester thus allowing it  to manifest itself  in other areas of my life.  Again,  don’t do this…  Face your problems head on… write about them, create a video about the problem or opportunity.  I always feel better when I write my thoughts down, not caring about grammar and such.  You could even document your situation  and capitalize on it….   I do just that… any project I work on,  it is documented in its entirety so that others may learn from my successes and failures.   After all,  wouldn’t we all rather be  sitting on a beach somewhere running our  business and making money? Then writing about how we are “making it”… okay, it’s just me… It almost sounds like something from a late night infomercial,  but honestly, it really is possible.

I realized being your own boss was possible  ten years ago…..  some opportunities have passed since then and many more have opened up.  It is up to you to find out what works for you,  if you truly want it that is.  I venture to say if you have read this far,  something is missing in your life and you are looking for answers.  The internet is great for this.    We are all evolving as individuals whether we like it or not… physically and otherwise.   Anyway,  money was not the primary driving force that led me to work for myself (but it was a nice byproduct)  it was the freedom it gave me to create wealth no matter my location. We actually live in a new economy (and have for many years) but most people don’t realize it yet alone how to use it to their advantage.

For many years people were bewildered how I “was making it”…   I lived and breathed the idea of working for myself and being my own boss,  it was all I thought about.  I met people (by sheer chance no doubt) that reinforced my ideas and shared their life stories.. I was fascinated. The idea of running a business, being your own boss, freedom, consumed my entire being…  I spoke of it like it was my own child…  It was not until several years later when I realized what I was doing to myself….    I ran into the video “The Secret”.  This  video helped  me understand that my destiny was set into motion many years ago.   I was attracting by the Law of Attraction people that could aid me in my journey to freedom, prosperity and self actualization.   There have been many people who have come and gone in my life,  but I have learned something from each of them.   I make a concerted effort to do so…     I honestly believe in the message of this video.    I highly encourage you to take about 30 minutes out of your life and concentrate on this powerful message.  It really is that astounding.   Watch it before you continue reading this post.  There is another video on Youtube that I will not post on this blog… but if you do a search for “oprah the secret” you should find it.  Larry King interviews this fascinating person we know as Oprah Winfrey and they discuss “the secret”.  Anyway,  this is my gift to you…. sharing something I found very powerful and that I use in my daily life…   Whether you are lonely, depressed, feel overwhelmed or anything that is bringing negative energy into your life,  you owe it to yourself to watch this video.   It truly  will change your attitude,  but only  if you open your mind and let it take over.  Again,  clear your mind and watch this by yourself first without any distractions,  you will be glad you did. Watch it again and again, anytime you feel negative energy and circumstances are creeping into your life. Go ahead, don’t skip it, you may never come back to this blog again…. sit down by yourself and concentrate on this video… seriously, do it. So what did you think?   Pretty cool isn’t it?   Law of Attraction and Positive attitude go hand in hand.   So are you tired of your job yet?  Not happy with your life?  Not satisfied with your relationships?  Just want to do your own thing and be happy?  Does you life just need an overhaul?  well make it happen!  It will come surely as the sun will rise tomorrow… but be patient.  Good things come to those who wait.

Anyone that knows me realizes that I believe true wealth means the freedom to do as I please while at the same time living comfortably.  Sure,  I can go on welfare, not work, all that jazz,  but it’s not my style.  My style is to have my cake and eat it too… isn’t that what you want?   Well,  I do just that…. though I am not a billionaire,  I do have a fledgling empire.  I say fledgling because  it is far from mature… and still needs a lot of work and growth.  Yes, I have big plans.  I also like to share my knowledge…  I am fascinated with information.   What I do is not for everyone,  I realize not everyone is like me….  for whatever reason.  However, keep in mind,  the “work from home”   lifestyle can be obtained, only a small percentage of people actually make it happen.  This happens for many reasons… not necessarily because it is difficult.  But people get so  caught up in their daily routine that they don’t have time to think about NOT working for someone else.  It’s the whole Rich Dad, Poor Dad thing.  Did you read the book yet?  But the intent of this post was not to lecture on all the benefits of being your own boss. Most of those reading this blog already know all about it, many are actually living the internet lifestyle…most are not billionaires, but do enjoy the freedom that comes along with working for yourself.

The mission of this post was twofold.  One  to remind you to think critically and help you realize all is not what it seems.  Two, to remind you to banish negativity from your life and surround yourself with like minded, positive people.  So that no matter your mission you can lead a happy, self actualized life, no matter what path you choose to follow.  Sooooo,   study my earnings below. I know what I’m talking about..  If for some reason you can’t see the numbers….  save the image to your desktop and take a look that way…. do it before you continue reading the post…

Do you think that is real? Well it is not.. to generate this kind of revenue as an affiliate would be a major undertaking. If You showed me that account and you were a clickbank publisher with many affiliates promoting your products, it would be much more believable.. it would also be equally believable if you had that kind of revenue stream coming in, but from different sources. Be careful out there.. people lie and images are easily manipulated.. learn to be a critical thinker and always ask questions.  As I mentioned,  we discuss analysis paralysis sometime in the future… something else that can cripple an entrepreneurial mind.

So what did you learn?  If you’ve taken the time to read this far,  you surely have learned something.  My advice to everyone out there in internet land,  take a lesson from every situation… learn from everyone.   Everyone has something to offer in some capacity.  Turn a negative into a positive.   Sometimes it is worth it.  Sometimes it is not worth it.  Decide where to focus your energies and what makes you happy.  Revisit  the videos I have on this post….   I do often when I get down.  Yes,  everyone does… including myself.

By the way,  I will update my datafeedR project sometime this weekend….  I am still studying some websites that are selling amazon products.. Contrary to popular beliefe,  I have not dived into the area of having online stores,  I primarily have sold digital products up to this point.  However,  I plan on using my marketing skills to make this work and create a residual, passive income for myself and related companies.   Furthermore,  I  plan on putting all of my findings in a members area on this blog…  I have found we can learn from other people’s success.  Using some basic research tools,  we can extrapolate from the information what they (the site owners)  may be earning on each website.   There would be no way for us to calculate their conversion rate, etc,  but again we can extrapolate from our research to get a pretty decent idea.  If you have targeted search engine traffic and lot of it,  you can bet money is being made.  Especially if it is organic in nature and not being paid for.   There are some people who have an entire network of sites selling amazon products (among other things).  My intent is to gather each website they have on their network and study it in detail..   The research will be shared once it is complete.  Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!
