Update on ranking experiment

Author: I’m going to update you on the ranking experiment i did a few weeks ago.. i took a.com keyword rich domain ,which I was lucky to find, set up a blog and posted a youtube video related to the subject. I did not do any promotion of any kind, simply set up the blog and ping the one post that i made. It took about a month but i noticed that we’re actully ranking for the key word on page 3 of google. This is not bad considering that i thought that a keyword rich domain was pretty much not necessary since the algorithm change on google. I have heard varying reports on whether this is the case or not. I’m certain with a little promotion that i could rank number one for the keyword. Now i just need to figure out how to monetize the blog. I’ve not done this yet but i plan on figuring out the page rank and age of the domain i’m competing with on page one if google for this keyword. People on my email list will get this information. I’m just glad that a keyword rich domain still helps.. even if somewhat.
